The place.
Heritage Kopitiam sits on the same shophouse strip as Ara's specialty cafés but operates on a different logic: fan-cooled, open from 7:30am, and focused on a short menu it actually does well. The soup prawn mee has regulars who will tell you, unprompted, that it's the best in the area — and the dry version doesn't argue. There's alfresco seating on the outside that catches a breeze in the morning and fills up early.

Good for.
Long mornings, working lunches, and the kind of visit that turns into two hours. Bring someone you actually want to talk to — the space rewards it.
What regulars say.
Surprise find in this area which is inundated with lots of eateries. It has one of the best soup prawn mee around, and the best dry prawn mee, by far. Service is good and friendly. The small but surprisingly pleasant alfresco seating during the morning is a real plus point.
The restaurant is clean and fan ventilated. The order is fast and the waiter is friendly. Try Mee Jawa and Chili Pan Mee — taste good. Recommend for everyone.
